Strengthening Maternal and Newborn Care Through Digital Learning!

Empower Women Foundation (EWF), in collaboration with Goofirm Foundation and Laerdal Global Health, successfully implemented the LIFT Assessment Training for District Champions across eight districts: Mamfe, Kumba South, Kumba North, Muyuka, Buea, Tiko, Limbe and Tombel which ran from 19th-23rd of August, 2026.

 

The initiative equipped 16 district champions with the skills to use the LIFT Assessment digital platform to plan, document and monitor simulation-based training in Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH), Essential Newborn Care (ENC) and Neonatal Resuscitation.

 

As part of our commitment to improving maternal and newborn health, birthing kits were also donated to each district visited, with the kits generously provided by With Women Project Cameroon.

 

Together, we are investing in stronger health systems, better-trained healthcare providers and safer births for mothers and newborns.
