In commemoration of World Earth Day, GOOFIRM, in collaboration with Association For Community Awareness (ASCOA) under the auspices of the Chief of Batoke, successfully mobilized over 90 passionate community members for a transformative beach clean-up at Batoke.
This was more than just a clean-up, it was a community-driven environmental action grounded in awareness, accountability, and sustainability.
Participants engaged in:
✓ Educative sessions on environmental stewardship and responsible waste management
✓ Hands-on clean-up activities along the coastline
✓ Waste sorting, counting, and weighing to promote data-driven environmental action
✓ Proper disposal practices to reduce long-term pollution
Every piece of waste collected tells a story and every action taken brings us one step closer to healthier ecosystems and resilient communities.
